How does a Mentee sign up for Lisnic?

Signing up is simple! Click the link here or click on the Post A Request or Sign up button on Lisnic.com. All you need is an email address, Facebook or Google account to create an account. If you want to post a request, you will need to upload your payment details.

How does a Mentor sign up for Lisnic?

Ready to help people or make some extra money? Sign up to Lisnic for free! All you need is an email address, Facebook or Google account. You will be prompted to create a profile on Lisnic when you sign up. This is no time to be shy! The more information you add, the more likely you are to get selected for mentor requests. You can update your profile at any time. 

How do I change my profile?

You can update your profile at any time. Simply:

  1. Log in to your Lisnic account
  2. Click on your profile icon in the top right corner.
  3. Click on ‘View Profile’
  4. Click on the pencil icon shown in the top right of each section.
  5. Update the required information
  6. Click ‘Save Details’

How do I set up or change my notification settings?

You can update your notification settings at any time. Simply:

  1. Log in to your Lisnic account
  2. Click on your profile icon in the top right corner.
  3. Click on ‘Notification Settings’
  4. Update the required information
  5. Click ‘Save Changes’

I forgot my password, how do I reset it?

If you aren’t logged in:

  1. Go to the login screen and click “Forgot Password”.
  2. Enter the email you used to create your account and click Submit.
  3. You will be sent an email with instructions on how to reset your password. 

If you are logged in:

You can update your password at any time if you have created a Lisnic specific login and did not sign up with a social media login. Simply:

  1. Log in to your Lisnic account
  2. Click on your profile icon in the top right corner.
  3. Click on ‘Password & Security’
  4. Update the required information
  5. Click ‘Save Changes’

Here are some tips to help you keep your account secure:

  • Create a strong password by using a combination of letters (uppercase and lowercase) and symbols.
  • Do not use a password you use for other accounts..
  • Don’t save your password details where someone else could access it without authority.

What details should I include if I’m a Mentor?

The more detailed your profile, the more likely you are to be awarded mentor requests. Outlining your experience, past achievement, industry expertise and accolades, will enable the right Mentees to find you and want to hire you.

You can edit the below parts of your profile:

  1. Your name.
  2. Your headline.
  3. Your profile picture.
  4. Your industry.
  5. Your area of expertise.
  6. Your city location.
  7. The languages you are proficient in.
  8. What session types you run.
  9. Your session prices.
  10. Your bio.
  11. Your experience.
  12. Your memberships and affiliations.
  13. Your achievements.
  14. Your education.
  15. Your press.

Note: Our Community Guidelines specify that private details such as contact details cannot be shared. All transactions must be conducted through the platform and must be continued to be conducted through the platform. Lisnic reserves the right to remove any accounts from the platform found to be in breach of Community Guidelines.

What details should I include if I’m a Mentee?

Before placing an offer on your request, Mentors may check out your profile. It’s important to put as much information as possible so they can see how they can help you.

You can edit the below parts of your profile by clicking the pencil icon in the top right of each section:

  1. Your name.
  2. Your headline.
  3. Your profile picture.
  4. Your industry.
  5. Your area of expertise.
  6. Your city location.
  7. The languages you are proficient in.
  8. Your bio.
  9. Your experience.
  10. Your memberships and affiliations.
  11. Your achievements.
  12. Your education.
  13. Your press.

How do I change my profile picture?

Having the right profile picture is more important than you think! Now this isn’t a dating site so make sure your profile picture is professional and high res. Having a profile picture significantly increases your chance of being awarded a mentor request by 50% and increases the number of people who place offers on your request.

Update your profile picture by going click on the top right icon on your screen. Go to View Profile> Click on the top pencil in your banner>Click Change Picture>Upload your desired profile picture>Click Save Details.

Need tips to get the perfect shot?

Face the natural light. This will ensure your face is clear, and as an added bonus, make you look younger;)

Smile and look confident! 

Avoid filters. This isn’t Snapchat, make sure your photo is as representative of you as possible.

Note: Lisnic reserves the right to remove or change any name or profile picture that is deemed to be inappropriate.

1. Make sure you are accessing the website on a recent browser. 

2. If you are still having problems, try clearing your cookies and cache.

Email Issues

1. An email account can only be used to create one account on Lisnic. 

2. Make sure your email and password only includes acceptable symbols. Spaces can’t be used.

Login Issues

If you have a Lisnic account and can’t login, try one of the below options:

  1. Check your login details are correct. 
  2. Check you are using an update to date browser. 
  3. Clear your cache and cookies.
