Posting an Expert Request

Firstly, who are these Experts? 

Our Experts have grown and scaled million dollar enterprises and have extensive experience working in the world’s biggest companies. They are available on Lisnic to help you get where you want to go in the business world. 

If you want to be an Expert, sign up for a free Lisnic account and you can start browsing and applying for Requests straight away. 

Who can use an Expert?

Anyone who is hungry to learn. You can be at any stage of your business journey.

It’s free to post a request and to sign up to the platform. Simply list what you are looking for and Experts will start placing offers. View their profiles and pick the one that best suits you.  

Once you have chosen your dream Expert for your request, your funds will be held in our escrow system, Lisnic Pay. This will hold your payment secure until your session is completed. 

You can then start messaging your Expert and schedule a time for your session. It’s as simple as that!

Prior to Posting a Request

How do I post a request?

Click the orange Post a Request button on your browser or app and follow the prompts to add your Request details. It’s completely free! 

You will need to provide the following information (the more information you provide, the more likely you will find a suitable match):

• Request Title
• Session Type
• Request Date
• Request Information 
• Hourly Rate
• Industry
• Area of expertise

Once your request is live, offers will start rolling in from Experts all around the world! Experts are also able to ask questions about the request to see if they are the right match so keep an eye on your Lisnic notifications.  

These questions and responses will be public. 

How do I invite an Expert to my request?

You can also browse our line up of Experts and invite your dream candidates to apply for your request by following these steps: 

1. Click on Find A Expert.
2. Search by name or use the filters to search by Category, Location, Hourly Rate, Language and Industry 
3. Click on the Expert you want.
4. On their profile, click on the “Invite Expert” button.
5. Select “Select Existing Request”.
6. Pick your request from the drop down list.
7. Describe why you think they would be a good fit for the request.
8. Click Invite Expert.

How do I work out how much money I should spend on an Expert?

One of the benefits of engaging an Expert via Lisnic is that you can set a budget that you can afford.

When determining what amount to set your request at, consider the level of experience you want your Expert to have. 

We’ve put together this handy guide to help you work out what price to set:

Business Experts:

Standard – AUD$0 to $100 per hour (Estimated income range p.a. $0 – $200K or managed 5+ people)

Skilled – AUD$100 to $300 per hour (Estimated income range p.a. $200k – $300K or managed 20+ people)

Experienced – AUD$300 to $500 per hour (Estimated income range p.a. $300k – $500K or managed 50+ people)

Expert – AUD$500+ per hour (Estimated income range p.a. $500K+ or managed 100+ people)

After Posting A Request

How do I pick the right Expert?

Once you’ve posted a request, you should have offers rolling in from Experts all around the world!

In order to pick the right Expert for you, don’t just make a decision based on price. Have a look at their profile and consider the following:

• Their past experience and achievements
• Accolades
• Reviews

You don’t have to accept any of the Experts that have placed offers on your request. You can also browse the platform and invite Experts of your choosing to apply.

What can I do after posting a request?

We understand you may need to update your request after posting it. Check our guide below to see how you can make changes to your request listing.

How do I edit a request?

If you’ve posted a Request and would like to edit it before you choose an Expert, you can do so by following these steps:

1. Go to the request page.
2. Under Request Settings, click Edit Request.
3. Click on the pencil icon to edit the relevant section/s.
4. Follow the prompts and fill out all the required information.

Once a request is marked as complete, can the price still be increased? 

A request price can be changed until it is accepted by an Expert. Once a request is accepted, the price can’t be changed. 

How do I cancel a request?

If you’ve posted a Request and would like to cancel it before you choose an Expert, you can do so by following these steps:

1. Go to the request page.
2. Under Request Settings, click Cancel Request.
3. Provide reason for cancellation.
4. Click on ‘Yes, Cancel Request Button’.

How do I assign an Expert to my request?

You can assign an Expert to your request by doing the following:

1. Click on My Requests.
2. Click on Open Requests.
3. Select your Request and click on ‘Review Offers’.
4. Click on ‘View Offer’.
5. Review the offer and either ‘Accept Offer’ or ‘Cancel’.

Group sessions

On Lisnic, you have the ability to request a 1-on-1 or Group Session. Group Sessions are a great way to upskill your team! 

If you want to run a Group Session, you will need to share the Lisnic video link with anyone you want to join the session.
