How to find the right business market | Lisnic

Business

If you’re a business owner trying to find the right business market, this article is for you! We’re going to show you how you can narrow down the big scary market to find customers who are ready to pay for your services.

When you’re just starting out, it’s not uncommon to have no idea about your ideal customer profile, you just want anyone and everyone to give you a shot! You are not the only one. Many business owners start by casting a wide net, until they slowly filter through both who they built the product for, and any accidental demographics that are interested (this is always a nice surprise).

If you want to grow your business, it takes the right market to help you get started. Let’s get to it and share knowledge that you’ll want to keep in your front pocket.

What are the priorities of your business executive?

What are you prioritising as a business executive? What are your plans for growing the business from the ground up? It’s important to know what your priorities are so you can focus on them more instead of tasks that aren’t urgent and need to be delegated.

If you are planning on starting a business, it would help to seek the advice of a business coach. When you find one that is familiar with your industry, you will be able to get the help and specific industry guidance that you need. If you don’t know how to find the perfect match, make sure your values, mission and business goals are clear when you start reaching out to people or post a request on Lisnic.com. If you are unsure about hiring a business coach, just know that there are plenty of benefits.

One of your priorities should be marketing (and no I’m not just stating this because I own 13 digital marketing agencies), marketing is key if you are looking to attract the right market to your business. I don’t just mean posting a cute Instagram post here and there, I mean thoroughly analysing your online enjoyment to see who, what, when, where and how people are interacting with your business. Defining your target customer, is key to finding the right business market for you.

Increase your business growth strategy

Once you find the right business market, you have the key to increasing your business growth strategy. You know about your market, so now it’s time to find out where they hang out. What social media platforms do they use regularly?

What are they talking about in their posts? What groups do they belong to? There are so many questions you can ask here.

Knowing who your business market is and determining that they are the right one will be key to business growth. This way, you’ll know what to do when you want to acquire leads. As the old saying goes, it takes the right offer in front of the right people to get the sales you want.

That’s one of the cardinal rules of marketing. If you stand in front of a crowd of vegans and start advertising steak sandwiches, you’re not going to get anywhere in sales. Once your product or service attains the intended results, you can use that customer experience to build on your growth strategy.

Use your client’s results in your next set of advertisements and social media posts. Why? Because results sell nine times out of ten.

Your customers will buy from you if they know that they will achieve similar successful (but not typical) results. It’s important that you outline a clear plan for every customer to achieve success with your services and products (even if it’s a demonstration on how to best use a product). When you start getting more customer success cases, BAM the whole thing snowballs and your business will grow literally overnight!

As part of your business growth strategy, you then need to consider what you do in case the business literally DOES grow overnight. Who will you add on to your team? More customer service reps or other employees who may be skilled in something specific like social media marketing?

Know your target audience

Lastly, it’s important to know your target audience. You’ll want to learn about them and put it all together in a customer profile. Do your research and find out what they desire, what their problems are, and so on.

The deeper you go into your target research, the more you’ll unearth. It will also set you apart from the other business owners. When you put together a sales message, you want it to be like you are speaking their language.

You want them to know that you have listened to their pain, that you empathise with them, and that there is nothing that you would love more than your customers to live pain free or achieve the certain results that they desire (now that’s good customer service)! The right business market must have the problems they’re dealing with in which your product or service is the right solution.

You cannot give someone an aspirin if all they are suffering from is sneezing and sniffling, right? Of course not.
